The tirolean actress Julia Rosa-Stöckl and director Reinhard Göber from Berlin founded DIVA, the first international Monodrama festival of austria back in 2010, after a collaboration of “Urfaust” in Innsbruck. It should take place in a little village in the tirolean Zillervalley called “Tux”, whre usually tourism and sports attract attention.
The FestivalDIVA is the first festival which has attended to monodramas. DIVA is a enthusiastic project to create a special way of theater to narrate social policy concernings in a language of art. DIVA takes place in a location far away from the usual cultural centers. A different and international synthesis of nature, landscape, people and artistic projects should be created directly on site. 2011 was the first time DIVA took place with the topic: “Women of post-emancipation”
